FOR ALL SOLUTIONS STAFFING INC (TRAVEL NURSE) EMPLOYEES

We will continue to work with each staff member who is working with Solutions Staffing Inc to individually problem solve.

If you are traveling in the next 2 weeks, you will receive a call from our Clinical Department to ensure that you are healthy and that we are looking at your assignment details individually.

If you develop symptoms while you are assignment or prior to your assignment start date:

  1. REPORT: Call Your Recruitment Specialist – Our Clinical Department will be alerted and call you directly to problem solve your individual situation
  2. SELF ISOLATE: If you are on assignment and become symptomatic, Solutions will work with you to ensure that you are able to stay where you are to self-isolate and to receive the medical attention you need
  3. We will explore available options to get you home

Q & A

Q: Will you receive sick time benefits if you become symptomatic while you are on assignment
A: As a casual employee you do not have sick benefits with Solutions Staffing Inc, however the government of Canada will provide up to 15 weeks of sick benefits for employees who are required to self- isolate or quarantine due to symptoms Corvid-19. See Details here. You may also be eligible for workers compensation benefits and we will assist you in completing the forms required for this.

Q: Will your housing be paid for, if you are required to self-isolate while you are on assignment?
A: Yes. Solutions Staffing Inc will work with you to provide the safest accommodations for you to isolate yourself if you become symptomatic

Q: Why don’t we have a standard policy for all employees affected by this pandemic
A: Each circumstance is unique, and we would like to work with you individually to ensure the best solution for your situation

Assignment Cancellations

When you are contacted by our Clinical Department, we will work with you and the facility you are contracted to, to decide on the safest course of action for your assignment.

Self Assessment

This self-assessment tool, developed with the BC Ministry of Health, will help determine whether you may need further assessment or testing for COVID-19. You can complete this assessment for yourself, or on behalf of someone else, if they are unable to.

Who should be tested for COVID-19?

People with respiratory symptoms who are:

  • Hospitalized, or likely to be hospitalized
  • Health Care Workers
  • Residents of long term care facilities
  • Part of an investigation of a cluster or outbreak

Who does not need to be tested for COVID-19?

  • People without symptoms
  • Patients with mild respiratory symptoms who can be managed at home, including returning travelers with an onset of illness within 14 days of return to Canada

The BC Ministry of Health strongly urges anyone who has symptoms – including a fever, cough, sneezing, sore throat, or difficulty breathing – to self-isolate for 14 days. To protect yourself while out in public, wash your hands frequently and maintain a distance of about 2 meters from others.
