Clinical Practice Team
Linda has been a consistent force with Solutions Staffing (TravelNurse) since 2004. She has traveled throughout British Columbia in Remote Practice, Critical Care and Emergency as a travel nurse with Solutions Staffing Inc (TravelNurse). She currently works from BC’s coast in a remote location as a Clinical Specialist. Linda received her Remote Practice Certification in 2010 and continues to work in First Nations Communities on her time off.
With a combined 15 years of nursing experience our newest Clinical Coordinator Shaunda is a great asset to our team. She has a background in Psychiatry, Primary Health Care with vulnerable clients and Public Health. Shaunda loves to spend her spare time with her family, and her favourite quote is “Your day will go the way the corners of your mouth turn.”
Kari is our newest clinical coordinator, but she is not new to our Solutions Family! Kari has been an Acute Care/ER TravelNurse for 2 years and previously worked EMS and was an OH&S Manager. Kari currently resides on a farm in Camrose and life is never a dull moment with 4 grown daughters, two grandbabies who call her “Mema”, and 2 crazy bulldogs! We are so lucky to have her on our team!
Human Resources Team
Jo is our Lead Workation Consultant, she will have a pivotal role in fast tracking new applicants and getting you on your next Workation! She’s the friendly voice that gets you amped about joining the company and assists you with filling out your portal. Jo loves woodworking, nature, and rocks. (So much so that she has limited herself to only collecting three per outing.)
Shayla is part of the HR Team and is working hard behind the scenes to make sure that everything is set up for our #workationwarriors! Shayla has a passion for horses, fishing and camping and likes to take off on weekends in the summer to spend time in the outdoors.
Manmeet joined our team as a Human Resources Generalist right after she finished her practicum with us. She is a CPHR candidate and is working towards her CPHR designation. She helps take care of the TravelNurse internal team as well as works with our Travel Nurses for any health and safety needs or benefits administration. She is a great asset not only to each internal staff member but for our administrative team as well. She thrives for constant growth and ensures that the company’s vision and values are upheld. Manmeet loves connecting with people and hosted a multi-cultural radio show called “Mosaic with Manmeet” with local radio station. She is now working to revive her show in the form of a podcast! She is an active volunteer in various CPHR committees. Manmeet is trained in Indian Classical Music and loves watching documentaries in her free time.
Nikki is the newest addition to our HR department. Nikki is certified in the US as a pharmacy technician (CPht). She loves hiking, all things astronomy, and playing games (board and PC). In her free time Nikki can usually be found playing Animal Crossing or rereading Harry Potter for the umpteenth time. With her eye for detail Nikki is a great addition to our Solutions Team.
Shania is a graduate from the ABT administrative assistant program at the College of New Caledonia. Shania is an avid plant and cat mom, spends her weekends thrifting and loves exploring plant-based foods. We are so excited to welcome Shania and her cheery disposition to the Solutions Team!
Miranda is our newest administrative coordinator. Miranda has backgrounds in both cosmetology and customer service. In her free time, Miranda can be found taking motorcycle trips with her husband or spending time with her kids (Kyler & Maci). We are so excited to welcome Miranda to the Solutions Team!
Uroosa is one of our newest HR Coordinators. Her independent spirit and desire to make her parents and husband proud brought her all the way from India to Canada, making her the first person in her family to travel abroad for education. Uroosa recently completed her post-diploma in HRM at the College of New Caledonia and this is her first job in HR. She loves people, plants, food, and would do anything for an Iced Cappuccino. In Uroosa’s free time she likes watching Korean Movies, playing shuttle badminton, and is a Henna Artist who volunteers for charity events. In the future, Uroosa would like to travel the world with her husband and pursue a career that will allow her to make a positive impact in people’s lives such as a teacher or a motivational speaker. Nicole manages all payroll activities for our travel nurses and allied professionals and billing for our clients. Her position is busy and more than a little challenging. Nicole balances with with 2 young children who we have all come to know through her stories about them. Nicole is amazingly efficient, she reviews all of your timesheets, makes corrections and adjustments to ensure that your time is accounted for 100% of the time. We think she is a little obsessive and we’re not sure if she was this way before she started this position or after, but we are glad she is!

Bree is our resident “Gypsy” if you think you have met her before, you are right, Bree has worked with Solutions (Travelnurse) several times, in several different positions such as HR and Travel. She leaves us occasionally to travel the world, but always returns us in Prince George. Bree assists Nicole at being amazingly efficient, she reviews all of your timesheets, makes corrections and adjustments to ensure that your time is accounted for 100% of the time. Micaelin has always had the travel bug and have been to 10 countries within the last 2 years! When Micaelin was 20, she bought a one way ticket to Thailand, and eventually moved to Australia. While living in Australia for the last 5 years, she spend her days training and competing on cutting horses, as well as breeding high performance horses. Once she decided to return to Canada, she packed her belongings in a suitcase, bought a ticket for herself and her dog Lucy, and now she is here! Be sure to welcome Micaelin to the team!
Cindy has just joined the Solutions family as a bookkeeper. She spends as much time on the water as possible, Cindy and her husband enjoy fishing and taking the family, and their dog, out for day trips on their boat. Cindy has two sons, one of which lives in Abishiri, Japan with his two daughters; the other lives in Prince George with his wife, son and daughter. She is a lover of music and even took her teen-aged son and some of his friends to see Snoop Dog when he came to PG! Cindy loves learning and taking classes, she has two diplomas from CNC – Accounting & Finance, and Computer Information Systems – we are so excited for her to be part of our team!
Shayla understands the love of travelling whether it be returning to Europe for her annual adventure or camping her way across Northern BC. In her free time she can be found hiking with her dog Van Gogh, enjoying bonfires with family, and re-watching all things Disney! If you see her name come across your inbox, be sure to say hi!
McKenna has made the transition from Recruitment Support to a Recruiter! She is very detailed and enjoys working with our healthcare professionals on their #workations! She loves completing crafts, spending her time at the lake, reading/collecting books and tending to her succulents.
Maddie enjoys spending her time curled up reading a good book or on a new adventure with her puppy Franny. She enjoys road trips, concerts and is our resident adrenaline junkie, she plans to start on her sky diving solo license this year.
Kaitlin has recently made the jump from working in our Travel Department, to assisting in Recruitment Support. Kaitlin loves going for walks with her dog, Opal, and is often hanging out at her families cabin at the lake. She enjoys knitting and doing crafty things on weekends!
Meet Taylor! Taylor has a new and exciting role, and is being trained to assist in multiple areas of the company and plays an integral part of our branding team! Taylor has a background in graphic design, a cat named Kevin and is in the middle of publishing her own children’s book (don’t worry, we will send you the link to buy it!). With previous experience in customer service, Taylor will greet you on the phone with a cheery voice and help direct your call.
Stephanie is our new Recruitment Assistant. She has worked in the communication industry for about five years. She has a background in customer service and is very tech savvy when it comes to mobile devices. When Stephanie is not around the office, she enjoys playing softball and can also be found on local trails with her horses and her trusty dog Hazel. Be sure to welcome her to the team if you get her on the phone!
Randi plays an important role in getting our Travelers to their destination. With over 5 years of experience managing a department store, her customer service experience and friendly voice on the phone are key in arranging travel itineraries and accommodations. In her spare time, Randi and her husband enjoy going for hikes and outdoor adventures with their two kids, Alex and Riley.
Monika is currently on maternity leave and expecting her first child, a baby girl. She and her husband are very excited to begin this journey. She has 5 years of experience in the service industry, working with airlines, travel agencies and hotels. She is going to be a great asset in getting our travelers to their destination. Along with our travelers, Monika has a love of travel, exploring new places, participating in new adventures and riding her bike.
Emma has a passion for horses and you can often find her patrolling her neighborhood on horseback with friends! She loves being outdoors in the summer, and is often out fishing and hiking while spending her weekends camping at the lake. When she isn’t riding her horse in the winter, she is snowmobiling in the mountains! Be sure to say “Hi!” to Emma when she is booking your travel!
Miranda is the newest member of our travel team. Miranda is a proud dog mom to an adorable English Bull Dog named Mike! She loves chocolate, beaches, and mountains, is terrified of dolphins and has a love of coffee that borders on obsessive. With a background in aviation Miranda is sure to be an asset to our team!
Permanent Hire Team
Kara is our first Permanent Hire Recruitment Specialist! Kara comes to Solutions from a 15 year career in Post Secondary education. In her downtime, Kara can be found exploring Northern BC with her little side-kick, Coco, and watching endless documentaries.
Sandra Shannon is the founder of Solutions Staffing Inc. She is a Registered Nurse who has worked primarily in Administration and Critical Care throughout her care, inclusive of Adult Intensive Care, Neonatal Intensive Care and Emergency. She started Solutions Staffing Inc (TravelNurse) in 2001 to address nursing shortages in her home hospital in Prince George, British Columbia and has grown the company to National Recruitment and Temporary Placement Firm that works in most provinces and clinical specialties across Canada. She continues to work from Prince George, British Columbia. She sees all Solutions Staffing Inc (TravelNurse) employees as colleagues and enjoys providing support, facilitating resources and being available to work through challenging situations with professional colleagues and coworkers.
Ryan has been with Solutions Staffing Inc since he was in high school. Its not your imagination, there are “Shannons” peppered throughout this family owned company. Ryan’s role with Solutions includes Travel coordination and Office Management. He coordinates all departments of Solutions and is often the helpful voice on the other end of the weekend after hours logistics line. You can see him here with his lovely wife Kayley and their kids, Theo and Harper.
Dodie is a Practical Nurse and Client Services Manager for Solutions Staffing for the past 16 years; her current position is Client and Clinical Liaison. She, her husband, and 2 dogs relocated to La Libertad on the south coast of Ecuador. During her personal Ecuador journey, to find work/life balance, she discovered a new passion and a new direction. Dodie is now spearheading various projects for disadvantaged families and children. Connecting children like Michel with sponsors like Jeff, Sandra, and the Solutions Team. People with caring hearts that want to make a difference in the lives of the most vulnerable.
Tyla has recently moved back from Vancouver and decided to come back and work with us! Tyla was the friendly face behind Human Resources before she flew off to Vancouver to work on her education goals. She enjoys many different roles within the company and is currently working as a Client Manager and completes our social media! We are so happy to have her back. Another adventurer, kindred spirit on our team, please be sure to welcome her back!
Carole has worked with Solutions Staffing Inc (TravelNurse) since April 2013. She has fit into our group since day one. She always goes above and beyond to facilitate the perfect travel assignments for her travelers, and how now moved into a new role of Client Management. She is always positive! She enjoys combining work and travel often working from locations outside her home, and is an exceptional photographer!
